What to Expect
-
Before your session, we’ll connect by phone or email to discuss your current headshot, including what you like, what you want to change, and how you plan to use your new images. We’ll also talk about your business, brand, and the overall look you want to achieve.
Together, we’ll decide whether your session should feel professional, business casual, or include a combination of both. I’ll also provide wardrobe recommendations to help you choose colors and clothing that photograph well and reflect your personal style.
Once we select a date, a 50% deposit is required to reserve your session.
-
Before your session, we’ll schedule a phone call to discuss your business, audience, brand message, and the feeling you want your images to create. We’ll also review your brand colors, preferred aesthetic, and any specific photos you need for your website, social media, speaking engagements, or marketing materials.
I’ll explain what to expect on shoot day and provide personalized wardrobe recommendations based on your session setting and backgrounds. After our call, you’ll receive a session guide with outfit ideas and visual examples to help you prepare using pieces you may already own.
Once we confirm the location and studio needs, we’ll select a date. A 50% deposit is required to reserve your session.

FAQ

The studio offers clean, controlled backgrounds, great for a classic, polished look. On-location sessions incorporate your actual environment, which works well if your brand is tied to a specific space (your office, a coffee shop, an outdoor setting) or if you want a more lifestyle-forward feel. Please keep in mind that not all locations are suitable for branding photography. Every location will be discussed and reviewed prior to your session to make sure your images truly convey your brand message. A well-lit, neutral, open environment is essential to getting the results you're looking for, and I'm here to help you find the right fit.

B-roll is short video footage: you typing at a laptop, walking into a building, reviewing documents, looking out a window, conversing with a colleague, etc. It's background content you can use in social media posts, website headers, or reels. It's available as an add-on for Essential and Expanded packages for an additional fee of $100.

You do not have to, as many clients are fine with doing it themselves; however, no one has ever regretted hiring a pro! You will be using the photos for the next year or so, so you’ll really want to LOVE THEM. If your hair and makeup don’t match your vibe you won’t be as happy. I give out a guide with outfit tips, as well as makeup/hair tips a week or so before the shoot but if you aren’t that experienced with makeup and hair, I would definitely consider it. I can recommend a fabulous makeup artist but she does book up very far in advance.

Your edited gallery will be ready within a couple of weeks of your session. Exact timing will be confirmed at booking based on my current schedule.
What if I am in a rush or need the images faster than your normal turnaround time?
When we have our call or in our initial email, we will discuss timing. If you need your images rushed, we can discuss if it is an option (*based on my schedule) and the additional rush fee.

Don’t worry! I will work with you from start to finish. At the beginning, we’ll have a conversation and discuss your brand, how you want to be represented and how we can communicate this on camera! I’ll recommend outfit ideas, send a flow document so you’ll know how our session will go, including what you’ll be wearing. You can even send me items from your wardrobe and I can give you recommendations!

Yes. Group and team pricing is available based on headcount. Let me know your team size and I’ll put together a quote for you.

Hmmmmm…they’ll be so good you’ll probably want to use all of them! But it does depend on where you're showing up online. Most professionals find that 15 to 20 solid images cover them for a year of content, website updates, and a fresh LinkedIn or bio photo. I take them in different sizes depending on your needs–horizontal imagery for websites, portrait images for social media updates, and we can plan on imagery with plenty of negative space so you can add your logos and texts to the images!

Props are gold! Bring anything that reflects your brand or what you do: a product, a tool of the trade, a laptop, a book. These kinds of props add dimension to your images and make them feel more specific to your actual work.

Your shoes will be visible in many branding photos, as some are ¾ and full length images. They are also often visible in team shots, so I recommend leaving the ‘work from home’ shoes at home and having your best shoes polished and ready. If you are only having traditional headshots, you can wear your flipflops.
